A Splash of Color

One who looks at this design will be able to notice the different colors and how they are combined with one another. This is simply an abstract piece that I really enjoyed making with all the acrylic inks. Elements shown in this are the variety of colors throughout, as well as creating designs to fill up the space all over. There is clearly a sense of movement within the whole painting. Looking at this in person makes it seem as if you can sort of grab the first layer, especially with the dark blue popping out the most. I think people would really like the white towards the back because it brings out the rest of the cool and warm colors. I picked this as the title because I felt that it truly resonates what I'm showing out there. It is what is says. A Splash of Color with a creative design in the background. The more I look at this, the more I things I find attracting me through the space. The color choices in this are very well thought out. It seems as if the lighter colors are in the back and the darker colors are the ones coming out. It is a good use of most of the colors on the color wheel. Not all of them are on there but the primary ones are, which makes this painting stand out a little more. I believe others should see this work because it's a nice and bold piece of artwork. I think the the type of design used creates movement, and is a different but creative look. This was a fun painting to deal with, making sure that the designs made sense and looked like they could really move if someone were to grab it.

Winter Forest

This artwork is made with all acrylic ink. Whoever looks at this can tell that it has a depth throughout the space. This is based off of a photograph that I really enjoyed looking at, so one can automatically realize that this is a landscape of trees with branches covered in snow.
Some elements of art used in this piece are lines inside the trees to create the texture of the roughness of an actual tree. It has a well balanced design with making sure that the further the trees are, the smaller or skinnier they appear, and vise versa with the closer ones.
This painting can really make someone go inside and beyond. When it is seen with the auburn and brown colored frame around, it completes all of it because it matches perfectly with the trees. Winter Forest is a good and logical title for this. Just by looking at this not only through a photo, but in person as well, really gets me feeling cold and imagine my breath come out when I talk. Glancing at all the snow on the ground I can picture myself walking, wearing a big coat and searching for something. This picture becomes a forest you can walk through because of the three different layers. I enjoy the different browns and greens used in this. It is what makes this work look like a forest with snow piled onto the branches and leaves.
I think others should see this work because it's a neat and clean piece of art. The three dimensional look on this is important because the frame brings it all together. I enjoyed working on this very much because it is something I am able to put in my own little ideas while painting.
