Winter Forest

This artwork is made with all acrylic ink. Whoever looks at this can tell that it has a depth throughout the space. This is based off of a photograph that I really enjoyed looking at, so one can automatically realize that this is a landscape of trees with branches covered in snow.
Some elements of art used in this piece are lines inside the trees to create the texture of the roughness of an actual tree. It has a well balanced design with making sure that the further the trees are, the smaller or skinnier they appear, and vise versa with the closer ones.
This painting can really make someone go inside and beyond. When it is seen with the auburn and brown colored frame around, it completes all of it because it matches perfectly with the trees. Winter Forest is a good and logical title for this. Just by looking at this not only through a photo, but in person as well, really gets me feeling cold and imagine my breath come out when I talk. Glancing at all the snow on the ground I can picture myself walking, wearing a big coat and searching for something. This picture becomes a forest you can walk through because of the three different layers. I enjoy the different browns and greens used in this. It is what makes this work look like a forest with snow piled onto the branches and leaves.
I think others should see this work because it's a neat and clean piece of art. The three dimensional look on this is important because the frame brings it all together. I enjoyed working on this very much because it is something I am able to put in my own little ideas while painting.
